Para-Thimbles flap about, as anything with 'para' in its name in any given 2d platformer would, don't overthink the name, since without video games no one would associate 'para' with just adding wings to something, paratroopers can't even fly, I know I'm not supposed to be dissecting the human vernacular but c'mon guys.
Fun Fact: De-clipping the wings of these guys has the same effect as de-clawing a cat, it is generally a 'painless' process, as painless as removing a part of a living being's body that they've had their whole life could be. this can also lead to depression from de-winged para-thimbles, and them receiving ridicule from other Para-Thimbles who have wings, Rudolph style
